One of the Group's most important fields of operation, in both Greece and abroad, is that of harbor and marina construction. Our experienced scientific personnel use, which are designed using modern methods and techniques and are then carried out by our fully trained technicians.

Harbor and Marina construction:

• Construction of piers
• Construction of fishing and yacht shelters
• Construction and reconstruction of lee and weather jetty protectors
• Reforming of coasts

All constructions are either fully built by us or we have participated as sub-contractors in the marina or harbor construction.

Transport and Placement of artificial and natural blocks:

More specifically :

• the production of artificial blocks
• the formation of the surface for the placement of artificial blocks
• the placement of natural and artificial blocks

The lifting, transporting and placing of the blocks onto the project area are carried out with the Group's own vessels. The placement of the artificial blocks is conducted by the Group's specially qualified diving team.

Repair and reinforcement of piers - breakwaters:

We also carry out the reconstruction, reinforcement or extension of piers and breakwaters.

Deepening - excavation of rocky and sandy bottoms:

a) Deepening of rocky bottoms and shallow waters we use using special equipment, such as floating excavators.
b) Cleansing, clearing and restoring sea bottoms we use using floating cranes and other equipment.

Breakwater protection:

We undertake all phases of protection and reinforcement of breakwaters.

Rocky bottom explosions:

By using controlled underwater explosion techniques, we blow up rocky bottoms and shallow parts of harbors. For these particular activities, our Research & Development department designed it and our Construction department built the first specialized equipment for bottom explosions. This pioneering system, named JACK UP Wagon Drill, was used for the first time in the "NIODOCHI PIRAEUS" project, with great success.

Sea-transport of dredged debris:

After completion of port dredging works, we can supply the equipment necessary to transport dredged debris from the bottom of the sea, using flattop or split barges of a capacity ranging from 150 m3 to 1.000 m3. Transport may be part of a project or a project in itself.

Laying, repair and protection of pipes and cables:

This may include performing the necessary excavations, the laying of underwater pipes and cables and the placement of protective covering of these cables and pipes with inactive materials and preconstructed parts.

Drilling and bottom sampling:

These activities are performed by using a floating drill. Our highly qualified personnel, supported by collaborating scientists (geologists, geotechnicians etc), provide complete designing and planning services.
